The Blessings of Fault

After some thinking I came to the conclusion that some people are born to understand while the majority of us are born trying to understand understanding. The bases of this subject came to my mind when I read on-line some articles on famous historical figures. I really like history because it gives us clues as to what we can expect well beyond the future. I mean we may not be totally accurate about such claims, but knowing that history repeats itself, gives me something to look forward to.

Within history, with every war came peace and with every peace came war. The cycle of love and hate will forever tumble with each other, and without change, will become very predictable in the long run. Life and death is also predictable because with every sort of death, new life will emerge, but with every new beginning means that something needs to end. Now with those two statements, I’m sure you as the reader can think of many more. Its a balance of give and take, and without one, there will be too much of the other. My example would be, if one is hungry but never full, then the consequences could be troubling indeed. Therefore to balance is the key to a fulfilling life. I dare you, however, to find some sort of fault to this statement of balance and let me know when you reach that epiphany.

To challenge myself, I decided to also try and find an example to contradict my statements above. You’d probably ask me why I’d want to do that to myself, but I wouldn’t really know the absolute answer. My guest is that in the minds of great thinkers that came before us, they would often enjoy finding faults within themselves because if they can catch their own faults first, they would have a chance to fix it. By finding their weaknesses, they made themselves stronger in character, enough, just enough that they can have their ideas presented in front of the world. By defeating their most powerful critic, themselves, they were able to handle any objections that the rest of mankind would throw at them. I will find my faults, and I will let you know what I find.
